The Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Tim Dixon, attended the Proclamation of our new Sovereign, His Majesty King Charles III on Sunday 11 September 2022 in Aylesbury’s Market Square.
The Lord Lieutenant, The Countess Howe, opened the event and invited the High Sheriff to read the Proclamation speech. Three cheers were called for His Majesty the King.
Flowers and other tributes have been laid next to the Queen Elizabeth II statue in Market Square, next to the steps of Metro Bank.
