Leader of the Council, Cllr Richard Lloyd said: “I am pleased to be able to publish the summary report following the feasibility study that Aylesbury Town Council commissioned for a new Community Sports hub in the Town. It won’t surprise anyone to know that there is a recognised need in our Town especially with the additional housing in our immediate surroundings.
“I’d like to thank each and every person that contributed to the study, we couldn’t have done it without you.
“The position with our preferred site is largely unchanged in that it is still subject to ongoing negotiations with the landowner and HS2 for it’s return and at present I don’t have a date as to when that might be resolved. We have therefore been asked not to include site diagrams in the summary report for publication. Given that the need is there we will also continue to consider any alternatives that might present themselves.
“I would also like to add that we continue, as a Town Council, to be passionate about grass roots sport in our town and recognise the enormous effort that you all put in to make it a reality for our residents.
