As spring begins to bloom in Aylesbury, the Dissenters’ Chapel in Tring Road Cemetery is gearing up to host some informative talks for residents.
Kicking off the series is “Easy Gardening – Low Maintenance Gardens,” a talk by horticultural author and broadcaster, Geoff Hodge. On Wednesday 17 April at 6:30pm, Geoff will share his tips to help you get the best from your plants and gardens.
On Saturday 11 May from 10:30am, wildlife enthusiast John Tyler will present “Making Space for Wildlife.” In a world where natural habitats are rapidly disappearing, John will offer practical insights on transforming even the smallest garden into a thriving sanctuary for wildlife.
On Wednesday 22 May at 6:30pm, the River Thame Conservation Trust host a talk with Project Officer Chels Hothem. Chels will be sharing tips on how we can help to protect water quality in our everyday lives and focusing on the Stoke Brook and Bearbrook which run through Aylesbury.
On Saturday 6 July from 10:30am there will be a unique opportunity to “Meet Queen Victoria.” Delve into the intriguing funeral and mourning beliefs of the Victorian era as Queen Victoria herself shares tales from the past. An accompanying display of historical artifacts will also be on display.
