Keith Gray
Town Clerk/CEO/Responsible Finance Officer
Town Clerk/CEO of the Town Council, is the most senior officer and responsible for the council’s employees, working closely with the council leader and responsible for advising the council on strategy, policy and making recommendations to the council. The Chief Executive is the designated Head of Paid Services under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and Proper Officer under the Local Government Act 1972 and Head of the Burial Authority.
Keith has worked in local government for over 20 years and holds the Certificate in Local Council Administration. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Local Council Clerks and Chairman of the Bucks Branch of Local Council Clerks. Keith is also a Justice of the Peace.
Adil Iftakhar
Deputy Town Clerk
Supports the Town Clerk and manages the administration of the Council. Oversees the running of the Jonathan Page Play Centre.
Adil is also the Town Council’s Data Protection Officer and Freedom of Information Officer.
Ruth Mayhew
Senior Communities and Events Officer
Oversees the Council’s commitment to community engagement including Youth Town Council and the full programme of community events. Clerk to the Communities Committee.

PA to Mayor and Town Clerk
Provides full secretarial service for both the Mayor and the Town Clerk. Organises civic and mayoral events.

Business Manager
Oversees management and promotion of the Railway Club and supports community hub centres.

Human Resources Officer
Handles all aspects of Human Resources and employment matters.

Takes care of general administration for the Town Hall and deals with enquires from members of the public.

Responsible for burial bookings, administration and enquiries for Tring Road Cemetery.

Main administration support for Planning and Grants and is Clerk to the Planning and Licensing and Grants Committee.

Devolved Services and Allotments Officer
Works alongside the Maintenance Manager to implement Devolved Services. Responsible for allotments, including wardens, allotment holders, inspections and rent payments.

Works closely with the Senior Communities and Events Officer on the delivery of the Council’s community events and assists on community engagement projects.

Implements projects and support to ensure the youth of Aylesbury Parish are reached and are represented across all aspects of the Council’s work.
