Aylesbury Town Council is proud to support town centre businesses and encourage footfall to the town centre.
The Town Council has a designated Town Centre Officer whose role is to support town centre businesses and provide information, projects and resources as directed by the Town Council.

Business Profiling
Each week, the Town Council shares a ‘Business of the Week’ on the Aylesbury Town Council Facebook page which has more than 10,000 followers. These have proved very popular with many gaining large levels of reach and engagement. If you would like your business to be showcased, email the Town Centre Officer.
Competitions
We host competitions for businesses to be part of. Most recently, the Best Dressed Window/Business competitions have been popular. They were themed around Easter and Halloween. The Mayor of Aylesbury judges the competition. Prizes have included a three-month advertising campaign on Bucks Radio and £75 towards an evening out at a restaurant in Aylesbury.
Monthly e-Newsletter
Business owners are invited to receive a monthly email newsletter covering information relevant to Aylesbury town centre including new business openings, upcoming Town Council events and projects, national retail news and useful resources.

Engagement Projects
There are a number of business engagement projects which are led by the Town Council which businesses are invited to be part of, including recycled coffee grounds scheme and Borrow-a-Book libraries.

Christmas Lights
We are responsible for the organisation of the Christmas lighting for the town centre, which are switched on at the Town Council’s Christmas event, Christmas on the Cobbles.
