We aim to make all our events accessible to everyone. The removal of emotional and physical barriers to create a feeling of unity and inclusion is very important to us. We understand that it’s often small changes which can have a big impact on how visitors feel while at our events. We hope that all the information provided here will help you to plan your visit to our events.

Accessible requirements come in all shapes and sizes, so we appreciate that it’s not possible to cater for everyone’s specific needs, however what we can do, is to be constantly aware, ensuring we help and assist in a variety of ways. It’s our aim to make your visit as accessible as possible by implementing changes – big or small – so you can enjoy the day with all your family.

As we continue to expand our knowledge on the types of amendments that can assist our visitors, the range of services on offer also continues to grow and evolve.  If you have any suggestions, we are always looking for ways to do things better so please do send us an email or arrange to meet for a chat.

Please note that all the events are entirely free, with no charges made for any element of the event – excluding refreshments which you may purchase, when on offer. You are welcome to bring all your own food and drink to all the events.

How and where to get help:

  • Our team members wear green Event Crew t-shirts and you can ask them directly for support. If they are unable to assist you, they will find someone who can.
  • We have dedicated, trained members of the team who can help you in any way you might need. They wear a sunflower lanyard with the words ‘Here to Help’, please ask them for assistance.
  • You’ll always find a member of the team at the information desk (ATC Meeting Point) which is marked with a Meeting Point flag. Here staff will provide information and support you need or will find someone who can.
  • Please ask any of the suppliers to make adaptations to suit your needs. Our suppliers are chosen on the understanding they will adapt and help all visitors. For example, if you would like a ride to go slower or without flashing lights. if you need assistance accessing a product or you just need more space and time – please let them know. If for any reason your needs are not met by our suppliers, we ask you to report the issue to our ‘Here to Help’ team or the ATC Meeting Point. We will get you the assistance you need and ensure everyone is treated fairly in the future.
  • If you experience any problems of any kind, please, let us know – we really are here to help and can only fix the things we know about.
  • Aylesbury Town Council staff are Dementia Friends, and use the skills acquired with this training to assist all visitors with memory or communication difficulties.
