The Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Anders Christensen, welcomed invited guests from local charities and organisations to the annual Town Mayor’s Carol Service yesterday evening (Sunday 5 December).
The service took place in St Mary’s Church and was opened by Fr Doug Zimmerman. Readings were made by Mr George Anson, High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Cllr Zahir Mohammed, Chairman of Buckinghamshire Council, Mr Rob Butler MP, April Benson, Aylesbury Women’s Aid CEO and the Town Mayor.
The service included traditional carols and featured music from Aylesbury Concert Band, Aylesbury Choral Society and St Mary’s Church Choir.
Due to restricted numbers, we were not able to open this service to the public this year.
