A day at the seaside comes to Aylesbury complete with 60 tonnes of sand, Punch and Judy shows, bingo, land train, crafts, games and entertainment.
- There will be entertainment, performances and music playing throughout the event using sound equipment – this may be loud in the direct vicinity. However the main sand area is not filled with projected sound.
- The main area of sand is large, open and often very busy. There are smaller sandpits available for a gentler environment.
- This event can get very busy, please expect some queues at the major activities. For the busiest activities/stalls, queueing lanes will be identified so you know where to wait.
- The Super Soaker Arena can have gentle sessions. There will be no running during these sessions and gentler play. Ask the Event Crew for a gentle session and it will be included as soon as possible.
- Some rides may require you to step up to access. All rides require independent sitting.
- The land train has a step up to access. Handrails are attached to help users move along the seats. The train guard can provide assistance on and off the train if needed, however this ride is not wheelchair accessible.
- Additional Blue Badge parking spaces will be allocated in Aqua Vale leisure Centre car park. The Blue Badge parking is managed by a team of volunteers, please follow their guidance.
- The nearest car parks to Vale Park are Upper Hundreds and Hampden House (0.2 miles/322 metre walk) or Exchange Street (0.3 miles/483 metre walk).
- Additional parking locations in Aylesbury here.
- Changing places toilets are located at Upper Hundreds car park (0.2 miles/322 metre walk) and Tesco Tring Road (0.3 miles/483 metre walk).
- Search ‘Aylesbury’ on Changing-Places.org to view the location of Tring Road Tesco and the Upper Hundreds car park Changing Places toilets.
- There are event toilets on site, including one accessible toilet, sited close to the tennis courts.
- There are a number of resin bonded and concrete paths around the park. The majority of the event takes place on the grass (usually cut short), on firm ground and is relatively easy to cross but this can’t be guaranteed.
- Seating is limited. There are some benches in the park and some deckchairs are hired in for the event.
- The Quiet Zone is positioned close to Aqua Vale and can be identified by a large flag. The area is run by the experienced team from Hand Talking and there will be a trailer and gazebo for those needing some time away from the event.
- Food and drinks (not alcohol) are available to buy on site, however you are welcome to bring your own.
- Performance schedule showing BSL allocation (TBC).
