Aylesbury Town Council Funding
The Council Tax paid by residents of the Parish of Aylesbury includes funding for Buckinghamshire Council, Aylesbury Special Expenses, Thames Valley Police, Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire & Rescue Service and Aylesbury Town Council.
The majority of people are unaware that the Town Council receives no revenue support from Central Government, nor does it receive any funding via the non-domestic rates paid by local businesses and retailers.
The Town Council calculates the money it needs to raise to fulfil its functions and obligations on an annual basis (less anticipated income) and arrives at a figure known as the Precept. The Town Council declares this figure to the Unitary Council who collects it as a proportion of the total Council Tax paid by Aylesbury residents.
For more information on the below please contact the Town Clerk on 01296 425678.
